St. Timothy United Methodist Church

Guest FAQs

How long is the worship service?
The worship service lasts about one hour.

What is the service like?
Expect beautiful music that speaks to your soul, in a variety of styles. We often have guest musicians and instrumentalists who complement our choir. Our worship is welcoming and inspiring, with a message that will comfort you, challenge you, transform you, or make you laugh.

What should I wear?
We invite you to dress as you feel comfortable. You will see suits and ties, casual dress, jeans and comfortable shirts.

Where do I take my children?
Children are always welcome in the worship service and we also provide child care for infants and toddlers. Our greeters or ushers will be happy to assist you.

Will I be asked to stand or introduce myself?
We will not single out a visitor or guest by asking you to stand or raise your hand. We welcome you to join us in the gathering space following the service so that we may give you a special gift from our church.

Will I need to give money during the offering?
Although we do take an offering during the service, guests should never feel that we expect them to give. Our worship service is our gift to you as a first time guest so just pass the plate and enjoy the service.
